New York State has provided at-home antigen COVID-19 tests for school districts to distribute for student use. These tests are being provided for those who wish to test their child following winter recess as a mitigation strategy. This is 100% optional and voluntary and is not required to attend school after the winter recess.
Tests will be available for parents or guardians to pick up in Conference Room A of the District Office beginning Tuesday, January 4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please enter through the elementary school community entrance behind the district office. There will be a limit of one test kit per child enrolled in Albion Central Schools and it must be picked up by the child's parent or guardian. Test kits will not be given to friends, relatives, neighbors, etc., for distribution. If you are not available tomorrow to pick up your child's test kit, please contact your child's building office to make other arrangements. Again, these test kits are optional and voluntary and are not required to attend school.
For those who wish to receive a test, please also note that, although we expect to receive enough tests, this cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, these at-home antigen tests will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
