Albion Central School District’s Capital Project vote passed by a margin of 225-44 on Tuesday. The approval by district residents allows for the $26,690,000 improvement plan to proceed.

“Thank you to everyone who came out and voted,” said Superintendent Mickey Edwards. “This project will greatly benefit all students in the district. We are excited to move forward and bring these needed upgrades to Albion.”

The next step is the design phase, which will begin in January and run through August 2022. Construction is expected to take place 2023-2024.

There will be no tax impact on district residents and businesses due to careful project planning and financial implementation. All three schools and the bus garage will benefit from the project, including security enhancements to all buildings.
