Students in Mr. Uveino's sixth grade health class have been learning the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, more commonly known as CPR.
Not only are they focusing on the necessary steps to safely perform CPR, students are also learning how to properly use an automated external defibrillator, also known as an AED.
This spring, students were tasked with retrieving a practice AED from the Middle School Nurse's Office and administering the AED, along with CPR, under real life staged scenarios. Each student learned the skills to successfully perform life saving CPR/AED.
They did an outstanding job and are now prepared for any emergency that may arise!
