In this video segment, we catch up with Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Rick Recckio II for an overview on what we can expect from the annual budget. We will bring it back to the basics so you can better understand what goes into funding a Purple Eagle education.

Two Board of Education members will be elected to serve a five-year term beginning July 1, 2024. The terms of Linda Weller, Vice President, and Mr. David Sidari, Board Member, will expire on June 30, 2024.

When the Board approves the upcoming budget in April, anyone interested in running for a seat on the Board of Education should pick up a packet from the District Clerk in District Office.

Residents must meet the following qualifications to run for a seat on the Board:

• Citizen of the United States

• Resident within the boundaries of the Albion Central School District for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year immediately prior to election day

• 18 years of age or older

• Able to read and write

• May not have been removed from any school district office within the preceding year

• May not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family

• May not be a current employee of the school district

• May not simultaneously hold another incompatible public office

To vote in the school budget and board of education trustee election, you must:

• Be a citizen of the United States

• Be a resident of the District for at least thirty (30) days prior to the vote

• Show proof of residency, such as a driver's license, utility bill, etc. 

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age

You do not have to:

• Own property

• Register in advance

• Have a child registered in the District
