Five Purple Eagles Varsity teams were recognized by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s (NYSPHSAA) Scholar-Team Award Program for their fall season.
For the past 33 years, this annual award has been given to qualifying teams that have a cumulative grade point average of 90% or higher. In the fall of 2024, NYSPHSAA recognized 4,093 Scholar-Athlete teams. According to NYSPHSAA, in order to qualify as a team, 75% of a team’s average GPA for the season must be equal to or greater than 90%.
