Albion High School Junior Kelli Dingle was recognized at the Orleans County Building for winning third place in the 2024 Orleans County Safe Harbour Public Service Announcement Poster Contest.
Run through the Orleans Department of Social Services, this year’s program was open to Orleans County students in grades seven through 12 and focused on the dangers of human trafficking. Students were provided the perimeters of the contest and pointed toward resources that would help them gather information for their posters.
Out of the three winners, all of them focused on different mediums to deliver their messages. Dingle created her poster digitally, showcasing her graphic design skills, while the first-place winner, Michael Girangaya of Holley, created an interactive poster, and second-place winner, Inez Stangler of Kendall, hand-drew her poster.
