ALBION CENTRAL SCHOOL
VETERANS HISTORY PROJECT
ROBERT JAMES CHRISTY
Imagine that you are an English citizen during the bombing attacks on London. You and your family have joined hundreds of other people from London in the subway tunnels under your city for protection. Write a journal entry or a letter to a friend describing what you're experiencing and what thoughts are going through your mind as you wait for the German planes to stop dropping their bombs. Also write about what you think the city will look like after the attack is over and you're able to return to the surface.
Try to make your journal or letter vivid and exciting by using colorful vocabulary to describe your experiences.Use descriptive words/adjectives and detailed sentences.
You might want to check out this site: http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/blitz.htm for more information about the bombing of London before you write your journal/letter. (But remember...don't copy/plagarize anything from this site, or any others.)
